State-of-the-art minimally invasive therapies. For your health.

Interventional Radiology (IR) is one of the most fascinating advancements of modern medicine. Many conditions that were once treated only by means of surgery can now be managed less invasively by interventional radiologists.

Wide range of minimally invasive therapies.

In our radiological care centers we offer you the complete radiological spectrum of minimally invasive therapies. Our procedures are usually performed under local anesthesia. Depending on your disease, these are CT-guided or catheter-assisted via a small access in the groin.

Many conditions formerly treated surgically can now be managed less invasively by interventional radiologists. Using high tech imaging, interventional radiologists can diagnose and treat a wide variety of medical problems, often on an outpatient basis, through a tiny incision in the groin, with less risk, less discomfort, and less recovery time compared to surgery.

Certified expertise.

Our specialists Prof. Brechtel and Prof. Ketelsen are certified interventional radiologists of the German Society for Interventional Radiology (DeGIR) and have proven expertise and many years of experience in the field of minimally invasive therapies. Current research projects of our radiological care centers and countless scientific publications in renowned international journals (e.g. Lancet) underline their qualifications.

Detailed information can be found on the pages of our Competence Center Vascular Diseases or Minimally Invasive Therapies.

Pain therapy of the spine

Back pain is a widespread disease. A CT-guided back pain therapy is a gentle alternative to surgical procedures and allows targeted treatment of back pain. For many years, minimally invasive pain therapy has been a successful method for the targeted local treatment of back pain.
